Ayo Edebiri called out Elon Musk for allegedly causing her to receive death threats over a fake movie announcement.

The actor hopped on Instagram to share a screenshot of Musk reacting to a fake movie poster for Pirates 6. Instead of Johnny Depp returning as Captain Jack Sparrow, Edebiri was suggested to take his place. “Disney sucks,” he wrote at the time.

“Just remembering when I got some of the most insane death threats and racial slurs of my life (idk if it’s the #1 moment, but for sure top 3) for a fake reboot of a movie I had never even heard of because of this man LMAO,” she wrote. “So not only is he a double s**g h**l-ing fascist, he’s an idiot, but anyway.”

“Life is, of course, a gift,” she added — making it clear she wasn’t too harmed by Musk’s wild shenanigans.

In a more lighthearted moment, Edebiri also shared a DM conversation with New Girl writer Camilla Blackett, who suggested she would do well in a Pirates film reboot if she were cast in it.

"@waltdisneyfrozenhead wait no DEI, but I've changed my mind, maybe we can make some money idk lmk," she jokingly wrote.

One very real movie announcement that Edebiri has been a part of recently is the upcoming live-action Barney film that she’s set to write.

Barney is set to be produced and co-developed by A24 and Daniel Kaluuya’s 59% Productions, in partnership with Mattel Films.

As for who’ll star in the movie, that’s not confirmed yet. But Edebiri has been reported to be in talks to be the lead in the film as well.

As for Musk, he took a break from reacting to fake films on X to welcome a second son with Shivon Zilis.

Zilis hopped on X to joyfully share the news with her followers. "Discussed with Elon and, in light of beautiful Arcadia’s birthday, we felt it was better to also just share directly about our wonderful and incredible son Seldon Lycurgus," she wrote. "Built like a juggernaut, with a solid heart of gold. Love him so much ♥️"
