Timothée Chalamet, already a two-time Oscar nominee and Screen Actors Guild Awards winner, just added another distinction to his ever-expanding roster of accolades: White Boy of the Year.
This week, Anthony Edwards and Nick Maddox hosted the First Annual Believe That Awards, billed as “an awards show where no one is safe.” During the show, Chalamet received the honor of White Boy of the Year, a category in which he bested the following would-be winners: Adam Sandler, Tom Cruise, MrBeast, and Pat McAfee.
The Marty Supreme star, currently in production on a third Dune film in Budapest, appeared via video to accept the award, resulting in a conversation touching on everything from a shared love of Training Day to the actor’s much-discussed SAG Awards speech detailing his personal pursuit of greatness.
Later, Chalamet further commemorated his White Boy of the Year distinction in a series of Instagram Stories updates, including one that playfully poked fun at Edwards mistakenly referring to Liam Neeson as “Leon Nelson” during their previous chat.
“You can get lost in the Sauce, but without Sauce, you are lost,” Chalamet wrote in another IG update, paraphrasing Gucci Mane. “That being said, I promise to cherish this award, and to do good inspiring generations of white boys to come to be entirely delusional about their identity and place within the world.”

During his appearance on the show, Chalamet reiterated his goal of becoming “one of the greatest of all time,” highlighting his performance in Josh Safdie’s Marty Supreme, specifically, as “maybe the project I’m most proud of.”
Chalamet is joined in the Marty Supreme cast by Gwyneth Paltrow, Tyler Okonma (a.k.a. Tyler, The Creator), Odessa A'zion, and more. If you missed the teaser trailer’s unveiling back in August, catch that below. The film hits theaters in the U.S. on Christmas Day via A24.
