Kai Cenat notched a lot of firsts during his 2025 American Music Awards stream at the top of the week. Among them was a chance encounter with Wayne Brady, who repeatedly, albeit politely, declined to have his bald head used for Kai to “do Michael Jordan.”

As seen around 55 minutes into the video below, Kai and Wayne first exchanged pleasantries, followed by the former praising the latter’s head as being exceptionally “clean.” Brady responded by tapping into a sense of gratitude, at which point Kai delivered his inquiry: “You mind if I do Michael Jordan?” Brady was quick to offer an “Oh, I do” before clarifying that he didn’t mean this “in a mad way.”

From there, Brady proposed a trade, of sorts.

“If you do Michael Jordan, then I get to grab on your—“ Brady said before being cut off by Cenat’s “hell nah.” As Cenat argued, this was too “freaky” an endeavor for him to partake in.

“That’s not freaky,” Brady said. “What’s freakier? Massaging another grown man’s bald head or me grabbing your head?”

Cenat noted that he wasn’t planning on massaging his head but was instead aiming to basketball-esquely place his hand atop it.

“Yeah, no,” Brady said, followed by the two exchanging additional pleasantries and continuing on with their respective evenings.

Kai, who recently revealed he turned down Streamer University-related offers from Netflix and Amazon, had a major presence at this year’s American Music Awards ceremony. In addition to co-presenting an award alongside Alix Earle, Cenat also had breakout moments centered on Eminem’s Favorite Male Hip-Hop Artist win and his calling-out of a Ye-praising stream crasher.
