Lolita Callender, better known as Lola Doll, was left in “critical condition” this weekend after being shot by a man on a motorcycle in Guyana, police said.

In a statement shared to Facebook, the Guyana Police Force said it was investigating “an alleged incident of discharging a loaded firearm committed on” Lola outside of her Texas Square home on Saturday, Sept. 6.

“She is presently receiving medical attention at the Georgetown Public Hospital, where she remains in critical condition, having sustained gunshot wounds to her neck, face, hands, and right leg,” police said this weekend, adding that “preliminary information” culled from their investigation had determined that the social media star and artist was seated in her car at the time of the shooting, which they attributed to “a male on a motorcycle.”

In the same statement, police said that CCTV video was being reviewed. The department also asked for any potential witnesses to come forward. Police later announced that Paul Daby Jr., also known as “Randell,” was wanted in connection with Saturday’s shooting.

Complex has reached out to reps for the Guyana Police Force for additional comment. This story may be updated.

As news of this weekend's shooting went public, fans took to Lola’s socials to offer prayers and wish her a speedy recovery.

In August, Lola shared a video for her track “Succeed,” directed by The Knemesis. This year has also seen her rolling out official videos for the tracks “Snatched,” “Come Downstairs,” “It Pinching,” and “Cement Body.”

According to police, the investigation into the shooting remains “ongoing.”
