It’s been a while since I’ve had the chance to use one of my most recycled intros here on Complex, but a bit of non-news involving Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin is now granting me that unique privilege.

Not that it’s anyone’s business, not even a little bit, but speculation about the couple's relationship status has exploded in recent hours. Earlier this year, tabloids claimed they had been engaged for "years." The two have been romantically linked for about seven years now.

At any rate, the Daily Mail—a frequently sensationalist tabloid—alleged on Friday that Johnson and Martin had "split" after deciding it was time to move on. However, that’s not true, according to a rep for Johnson. Both TMZ and Page Six have since quoted a spokesperson who stated the exact opposite about the couple.

"The reports are not true," a rep for the Cha Cha Real Smooth actress and TeaTime Pictures co-founder was quoted as saying. "They are happily together."

Martin and Coldplay are currently on the road with the band’s entirely sold-out Music of the Spheres World Tour, which next hits Munich. Johnson, meanwhile, will next be seen alongside Pedro Pascal and Chris Evans in A24’s Materialists, written and directed by Past Lives’ Celine Song.
