VTuber and Twitch streamer Ironmouse officially parted ways with VShojo, a talent agency she co-founded.
In an emotional YouTube video posted on her channel, Ironmouse accused the agency of failing to pay over $500,000 in both personal dues and charity donations destined for the Immune Deficiency Foundation (IDF). She alleged that VShojo had mismanaged the charity funds, while also withholding dues owed to her.
These allegations against VShojo come after a noticeable hiatus from the content creator. As one of the most subscribed Twitch streamers of all time, Ironmouse's normally busy online presence had lessened over the past week.
On Thursday, July 17, the streamer posted a cryptic post that read, "im so sorry for not streaming as much these past two weeks. i have been going through a lot but i hope to get back to streaming soon."
Ironmouse then posted a video titled, "Why I Left VShojo," on Monday, July 21. In the clip, she claims, "With the information that I currently have, I believe that I am owed a significant amount of funds, which I have not been paid."
She also goes on to say, "Most importantly, the thing that hurts me the most is that the Immune Deficiency Foundation, which is the most important charity to me, and also the reason why I am here today, is owed over half a million dollars from VShojo."
After posting her video revealing the controversy, she tweeted, "to my community, I love you all dearly and thank you," ending the post with a broken heart emoji.
Users on Reddit soon took note of several other creators in the VTuber community removing VShojo from their social media handles in protest. One commenter said, "I wonder if this is the most catastrophic fall in Vtubing history."
The allegations against VShojo from Ironmouse have sparked backlash among fans and fellow creators. While legal constraints limit full disclosure, the beloved VTuber promised to reveal more to her fans in the coming weeks. VShojo has remained silent, not issuing any official statement so far.
