Diana Ross lit up the Hollywood Bowl with a powerful three-hour concert featuring some of her greatest hits. In a surprise moment, she brought several of her children onstage, including her daughter, who joined her for a heartfelt duet of her 1981 number-one hit.
Diana, 81, welcomed daughter, Black-ish star Tracee Ellis Ross, to the stage to sing with her on the song “Endless Love.” The song was originally a duet with Lionel Richie, and stayed at the top of the charts for nine weeks in 1981.
Variety reported Tracee still gets jittery singing in front of her famous mother. She said during the concert, “I get next to her and I’m five years old. I’m going to take a deep breath.”
She added, “My mom said I have to get over my fear of singing with her on stage.” However, the audience wouldn’t have known the actress was nervous once she began singing.
The outlet said the audience erupted into applause. Diana looked at her daughter appreciatively, saying, “That was good, Tracee.”
Some of the singer’s other children also appeared with her onstage. Rhonda Ross, Diana’s daughter with Berry Gordy, also performed with her mother.
Also brought up to the stage were Chudney Ross, Ross Naess, Evan Ross, his wife Ashlee Simpson, and their children Jagger and Ziggy.
Evan playfully joked that he would have loved the chance to duet with his mother on “Endless Love.” Instead, he teased that he was “very mad” Tracee was chosen for the moment over him.
The entertainer performed a setlist packed with standards from the 1960s through today. Forbes reported some of the songs included “Baby Love,” “You Keep Me Hangin’ On,” “You Can’t Hurry Love,” “Come See About Me,” and “Stop! In The Name of Love.”
Also featured were some of her biggest 1970s hits, songs featured during her film career, and other '80s hits such as “Upside Down.”
Diana is currently on her Celebrating Timeless Classics Tour with dates running from July through November 2025.
