IShowSpeed loves competition, but that doesn't stop him from showing respect where it's due. The YouTuber, 19, praised fellow streamer Kai Cenat in a conversation with Speedy Morman at ComplexCon 2024 over the weekend.
"Kai is one of them guys who I truly, truly adore," Speed said, describing the 22-year-old record-setter behind Mafiathon 2 as sharing his "same passion" for the art of streaming.
"Kai's doing his shit right now," Speed continued. "I love to see him doing good because it makes me want to do good."
Speedy pointed out that Speed and Cenat are "friends" who can still "challenge each other to reach higher heights." Speed said he "100%" agrees.
During the live 360 interview, iShowSpeed also said he could beat Jake Paul in a boxing match "in the fifth or sixth round."
Plus, IShowSpeed let Speedy into a key part of his personal lore: The YouTuber said "getting chased by dogs" in his home state of Ohio was part of how he started running.
Angel Reese also sat down with Speedy at ComplexCon, which was headlined by Travis Scott and Playboi Carti. The WNBA star said Google's estimate of her net worth at $2 million is "way off" and explained how her earnings create a ripple of good around her.
"It’s not just a luxury for me, it’s a luxury for everybody around me,” Reese said. “I can pay my mom’s mortgage, my family, everybody’s taken care of. ... Two of my friends, bring them on PJs whenever... They love this. They meet Beyonce... Jay-Z... All my friends eat."
ComplexCon will return in 2025, dropping into Hong Kong in March and Las Vegas in October with Daniel Arsham as next year's global creative director.
