Will Smith Calls on Kevin Hart and Jamie Foxx to Join 'Frolicking' Challenge

The actor's "core Blackness" was "blocking" him from doing the challenge on his own.

Will Smith won't "frolic" unless Kevin Hart and Jamie Foxx join him.

Recently, Black male TikTokers have relaunched a viral #BlackBoyJoy favorite with the "frolicking challenge," where participants play and skip happily, usually in scenic locations.

Smith was unable to resist the challenge in a TikTok posted on Wednesday (Sept. 3), which included a montage of frolicking videos.

"Black dudes been frolicking," the Academy Award winner began. "And I want to frolic, Jazz," he continued, referring to his longtime collaborator and friend, DJ Jazzy Jeff.

"We need to frolic," Smith continued, the TikTok cutting to a shot of him beginning to take on the challenge. "And I'm out here and I'm seeing the sheep, and I want to frolic, Jazz."

The actor tried his best to fight the urge, as his "core Blackless" was "blocking" him from romping in the field.

"Imma call Barack [Obama] and see if it's cool for us to frolic," Smith joked. "He'll do it."

Smith decided that he "can't do it" until Hart and Foxx take on the challenge first but returned to his manor with a light skip.

"Was that a frolic?" a person off-camera asked.

Smith, who hasn't released a movie since last year's Bad Boys: Ride or Die, has been heavy on social media lately, mainly to promote his comeback album, Based on a True Story.

Last month, one of Smith's concert videos was at the center of controversy when it appeared that fans in attendance were AI-generated. The entertainer later made fun of himself by posting another concert clip that included a crowd entirely filled with cats.
