Kid Cudi has always been about inspiring his fans, and he hopes his latest words of wisdom will help the dreamers who follow him.
On Wednesday (July 31), the rapper-actor reposted an edit made by content creator @lincolnargus, which he shared on X.
"It's fucking crazy to chase a dream," the INSANO artist said in the video below. "Like you've gotta be crazy. Most people would call it delusional, but you've gotta be crazy to do certain things in life, the really extraordinary things."
He continued: "And no matter what you're doing, if you're inventing something, like fashion, music, acting, anything–you've gotta be a little crazy. You have to."
Cudder also detailed how he left his hometown of Cleveland at 20 years old because he believed since his teens that his purpose was to become an artist. "A lot of muthafuckas back home in Cleveland thought I was crazy," he said, after the montage briefly showed him manifesting a mansion "in the hills."
"I had no connects in the city. I didn't know nobody," he continued. "I just had this feeling that this was something that I was gonna do."
Cudi added that people were "worried" for him, but told viewers to be "out of your mind a little bit" to accomplish what they set out to achieve.
"So this message goes out to everybody out there that wants to do something. Anything you wanna be that seems extraordinary, tap into your crazy. Make life your bitch," he continued. "Go for it. Why not?"
Cudi added that those watching have "nothing to lose" and told them to "try again" even if they fail. "And keep trying until you get nice," he said.
"Trust me, I know what it feels like to just be out here and nothing is going on," Cudi said. "And you're working at an odd job and it's late hours and it fucking sucks."
"I know what that feels like. But I also know what it feels like to really want something so bad. When you close your eyes every night you dream about it, it means that much to you. It's on your mind all the time and it never stops."
He concluded: "You're gonna figure it out. It's gonna be okay. Don't be boring, don't be chill. Be crazy."
"Some free game 😎🙏🏾❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥 this is for the crazy ones," he captioned the post.
