Adam Sandler will be back in the caddy for Happy Gilmore 2, set for a July 25 premiere on Netflix.
On Tuesday (March 28), the video-on-demand platform debuted the movie's teaser, which comes almost 30 years after the first Happy Gilmore was released. Sandler returns as the titular character, as do OG Happy Gilmore stars Julie Bowen, Ben Stiller, and Christopher McDonald, while Bad Bunny (credited as Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio) and Travis Kelce make cameos.
The two-minute trailer begins with Gilmore scanning busts of golf legends like Arnold Palmer and Tiger Woods before landing on his. "SpongeBob? What is that? What's with the beaver teeth?" he asks.
Another scene shows him admitting to his caddie, played by Benito, that he hasn't "swung a club in years." "I guess I need to update my happy place to something a little more age-appropriate," Gilmore says before swinging his club.
While Kelce doesn't make an appearance in the teaser, Sandler was a guest on the podcast New Heights last August, where he detailed the professional football player's cameo.
"First of all, Travis, we’re going to have fun," Sandler said around the 1:05:00 mark below. "Because the scene you’re doing is with so many great golfers. It’s going to be amazing. You’re going to be funny as hell."
