Sophie Rain is offering support...and a word of warning to Lil Tay after the 18-year-old rapper made headlines for her alleged first-day earnings on OnlyFans.

“I’m proud of her, but I hope she’s ready for the mental strain it causes at such a young age,” Rain told Complex in a statement on Wednesday. “I talked to her and gave her advice, and she’s really young.”

Lil Tay, whose legal name is Claire Eileen Qi Hope, announced her debut on the adult content platform just days after turning 18.

In less than three hours, she reportedly generated over $1 million in revenue.

The internet personality rose to fame in 2018 with expletive-laden viral videos flaunting cash and designer goods.

Now an adult, Tay teased her new venture on Instagram with a confident video post.

“Y’all already know what the f*** going on,” she said on August 2.

“Lil Tay’s dropping the youngest link of the century. Mark your calendars. Tomorrow 3:00 p.m. EST.”

In a follow-up post, she addressed criticism.

“Nobody-including my family, including the grown-ass haters, is gonna stop me,” she said. “You know why? Lil Tay rich and finna get richer, b****.”

The next day, Tay shared a screenshot of her alleged earnings: $511,003 from subscriptions, $486,558 from messages, and $26,736 in tips, totaling $1,024,298.

“You can hate on me all you want,” she said in another clip. “You can't say Lil Tay ain’t winning.”

Tay’s father, attorney Chris Hope, responded to the OnlyFans launch in comments to TMZ published August 5th.

“She’s 18 now. She can make her own decisions,” he said. “I am sure she is going to be successful in whatever she decides to do.”

While expressing his love and support, he acknowledged the controversy surrounding her choice.

“Some people won’t approve no matter what she does,” he said.

Tay continued to brush off criticism in a separate video, encouraging fans to live life on their own terms. “Do whatever the hell you want with your life,” she said. “Who gives a f*** what people have to say?”

As debate swirls around her decision to enter the adult content space at 18, Rain emphasized the psychological toll platforms like OnlyFans can have, especially on young women.

“It’s not just about the money,” Rain said. “It’s about what comes with it, judgment, pressure, and exposure. I hope she’s prepared for that.”
