Tyrese Gibson is reflecting on his sexual history.
The singer and actor appeared on Kirk Franklin’s Den of Kings podcast, revealing that his body count is a “little scary" around the 19-minute mark of the video below.
Gibson explained that since the beginning of his career, his audiences have been made up of mostly women.
“I believe my number is a little scary because I got to a point where a powerful man of God asked me a question," Gibson said. "Without even coming at me, he just said, ‘Hey, Reese, let me ask you, man. How many more?’"
Gibson said he “didn’t feel attacked” because he “already had it in my head that I'm doing too much, too often. Too many cities, too many states, too many countries. It's too much.”
The question prompted Tyrese to unpack his behavior.
“You either a sex addict and you out here just trying to put your weewee in everything and you just losing your damn mind, or it's coming from something,” he continued. “What's triggering your sexual appetite? Why do you want to do so much with so many?”
He added, “I had convinced myself that at a certain point it's going to be over. All of this access that I have to all of these women, it's going to be over soon. It's going to be another situation where one minute you hot, and the next minute you not.
“I was already prepared to settle down in my mind because I said if I keep moving the way I'm moving, I'ma die out here,” he reflected. “HIV, AIDS is inevitable [for] everyone.”
Gibson has been previously married twice. He and his first wife, Norma Mitchell, were married from 2007 to 2009 and share 18-year-old daughter, Shayla.
Gibson and his second wife, Samantha Lee Gibson, were married from 2017 to 2020, during which they welcomed 6-year-old, Soraya. Since their split, the exes have been involved in a contentious legal dispute over their finances.
Tyrese has been dating Zelie Timothy since 2021.
