Elmo stans Beyoncé.

In a recent episode of Chicken Shop Date, host Amelia Dimoldenberg asked the Sesame Street icon about his go-to karaoke song at around the 5:00-minute mark. “Beyoncé. Anything Beyoncé,” Elmo responded.

Amelia then asked Elmo if he’s a member of the Beyhive, which prompted Elmo to say, “Bey, hi! How you doing?”

Dimoldenberg tried to stop Elmo from getting too excited, saying, “No … I think we’re trying to play it cool now.” But Elmo continued.
“Hi, Beyoncé,” said Elmo. “Elmo loves you. May you can come to Sesame Street sometime. Or maybe the Chicken Shop?”

“Don’t be desperate,” Dimoldenberg responded.

Beyoncé previously appeared on Sesame Street in 2002 with Destiny’s Child, a moment many Beyhive members fondly recalled on X. “They go way back,” one user wrote of Elmo and the Queen B’s relationship.

When someone else called Elmo a “fake fan” for forgetting that Destiny’s Child guested on the show before, another X user wrote, “In his defense, he said Beyoncé, not Destiny’s child.”
