Ben Affleck isn't giving up on his love for Latinas despite his very public divorce from Jennifer Lopez.
TMZ caught up with the actor in West Hollywood and asked, in Spanish, if he still likes dating Latinas. “Yes, of course I do,” he replied with a laugh.
The reporter continued chatting with the Accountant 2 star in Spanish, also asking how he feels about being Hollywood’s most eligible bachelor. “Muy bien,” the actor responded, which means “very good” in English.
The 52-year-old famously dated Lopez twice, as well as Ana de Armas. Affleck’s second go with J. Lo resulted in marriage and divorce.
In March, he opened up about their divorce for the first time, explaining that it didn’t have anything to do with Lopez’s 2024 Prime Video documentary, The Greatest Love Story Never Told.
"Part of it was, 'Okay, if I’m going to participate in this, I want to try to do it in an honest way and in a way that’s interesting.' Because I thought it was an interesting examination," Affleck explained. He said it was "important" for him to clarify that the documentary "wasn’t the cause of some major fracture" in his relationship with Lopez, despite rumors to the contrary.
"My temperament is to be a little bit more reserved and private than hers. As happens in relationships, you don’t always have the same attitude towards these things," he added.
The exes first dated in 2002, and they got engaged before calling it off in 2004. Almost 20 years later, in 2021, they rekindled their relationship, married in 2022, and filed for divorce in 2024.
Their marriage was Lopez’s fourth. She shares 17-year-old twins with her third husband, Marc Anthony. Affleck was previously married to Jennifer Garner from 2005 to 2018, with whom he shares three children: 19-year-old Violet, 16-year-old Seraphina Rose, and 13-year-old Samuel.
