Halle Bailey wrapped production on her upcoming romantic comedy Italianna, and she shared a carousel post on Instagram celebrating the occasion despite "every obstacle" she faced during her time in Italy.
The post includes various photos from her time in the country, including ones with her 19-month-old son Halo, whom she shares with ex-boyfriend DDG. There are also multiple photos of the food she enjoyed during the trip. "Just wrapped my second film of the year," she wrote. "My God is so good to me. Through every obstacle, every doubt, just keep going. Thank you to the beautiful people of Italy for making this another home for us. We will miss it so much."
Bailey's time in Italy hasn't been without its difficulties. Before she left to shoot Italianna, in which she co-stars with Regé-Jean Page, DDG filed a motion to stop her from taking her son out of the U.S., labeling her a "risk." The move came just weeks after she was granted temporary custody of their child after she accused him of being physically and emotionally abusive, including an incident in which he allegedly slammed her head against his car steering wheel and chipped her tooth. The judge in the case ultimately denied his motion, and she was allowed to travel to Italy with Halo.
The custody battle has played out very publicly, and she also highlighted a video that showed DDG and his brother getting into a fist fight with a fan who called him "Doo Doo Garbage." He responded to the denied motion by filing for permission to visit their son while she filmed her movie in Italy, which shot for roughly two months.
She clearly isn't too bothered by her ex-boyfriend, however, as she was recently seen cozying up with a mystery man while relaxing on a yacht. DDG, meanwhile, suggested that he'll go to a fertility clinic if he ever wants to have another child, as it will "alleviate a lot of shit."
