Twitch streamer and YouTuber Fanum has shared his thoughts on the American health care system and suggested that he’d be willing to pay more in taxes to make sure everyone gets access to the care they need.
“I just got insurance like six months ago,” said Fanum, as seen in a clip from a recent stream below. “I didn’t know how to do all that shit. I’m not gonna lie, the American health care system? Completely fucked, to be honest. It makes sense, I don’t understand. People who watch me know my stance on American health care. I feel like… I think that health care should be free for everybody. Just saying. And, I also feel like, if I have to pay more taxes for that to happen, I’ll happily do so, my n***a. I don’t give a fuck. I just feel we should all have access.”
Fanum’s thoughts on the American health care system shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone familiar with the AMP content creator. In his interview for a recent Complex cover story, he revealed that he believes in the philosophy of making sure no one around him ever has to struggle.
“Around me, you not going hungry,” he said in the interview.
He also said that he hopes to open free community centers across the country.
“Think of YMCA, but it's free, though," he explained about his foundation plans. "Basketball court. We got a boxing gym inside. We got a study room. Sometimes it's hectic to do homework at home.”
He added that he hopes to open these centers in NYC and the Dominican Republic, specifically, providing a safe space for children who need it.
