Elon Musk might want people to think he's good at video games, but during his latest gaming stream, he was relentlessly trolled by users in the comments so much that he abruptly ended the broadcast.
Last week, Musk hosted a stream on his social media platform X, formerly Twitter, to show off the capabilities of Starlink's in-flight WiFi during a private jet journey. During the stream, he played some Path of Exile 2 on the highest difficulty, and the comments in the stream's chat did not let up when it came to criticizing the DOGE chief and Tesla CEO, per Daily Beast.
Among the first users to troll Musk was a gamer who asked him to "jerk off mr trump so he dies of a heart attack," while other users with names including ELON_IS_A_PEEDOPHILE and ELON_MUSK_IS_PATHETIC started spamming messages in the chat. "You have no friends and you will die alone," read one of the messages users spammed in the chat, while another read, "You will always feel insecure and it will never go away."
Commenters also focused on his relationships with the many women he has had children with. "Elon. It's me, Ashley St. Claire," read one comment, referring to the conservative figure who has a five-month-old child with Musk. "I have no other means of contacting you so I bought PoE2 early access. Please pay your child support. Thank you Elon."
Another user wrote that his estranged daughter Vivian Wilson "was right" about his lack of gaming skills. Vivian recently appeared on a stream with political commentator Hasan Piker—who Musk referred to as a "sellout" for streaming the new Assassin's Creed game—and said her father would beg to play Overwatch with her and her twin because they were better than him. In fact, she said that he was "fucking dogshit" at the game.
During Musk's private jet stream—which also showed him via a Blair Witch-esque webcam in the corner—he remarked, "There's a lot of r*****s in the chat." Musk has casually dropped the r-slur a lot in recent months, but his insult wasn't enough to deter the trolls. "Elon how is it possible to look this dumb and ugly," wrote one user, while another spammed, "You ruined the country just like all of your marriages."
Then his stream ended after roughly an hour and a half, either because he was fed up with the trolls or because his StarLink WiFi dropped out. Musk deleted the recording of the stream, but it made its way to YouTube thanks to third parties.
