Kim Kardashian reveals she was targeted in a murder plot in the new trailer for season 7 of The Kardashians.
“I got a call from investigators. Someone extremely close to me put a hit out on my life,” Kim says at the one-minute, 14-second mark in the trailer linked above.
The trailer, released on Wednesday (Oct. 1), saw the 44-year-old seemingly shaken while reading something from a computer.
Kendall Jenner also appears in the trailer, warning that “everybody’s kind of on edge.” Later, Kylie Jenner adds to the unease by telling Kris Jenner and Scott Disick ,“I heard footsteps walking into my room.”
“I’m terrified out of my mind,” Kim says in a voiceover before the trailer cuts to a teary confessional, “I’m happy it’s over.”
The new season, which Kim describes as “a whole different beast,” also features her return to Paris to testify in the trial related to her 2016 robbery.
Following the shocking 2016 event, a source told People that Kim would be increasing her security measures significantly, saying, “[She will have] a much heavier security team. There will be a focus on security personnel who aren’t in traditional clothing. There will be a lot more undercover security.”
On the day of the trailer’s premiere, it was reported Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner filed a defamation lawsuit against Ray J, who they say falsely claimed that the business mogul family is under federal investigation for racketeering in the Tubi documentary United States vs. Sean Combs. The Kardashians season 7 will premiere on Oct. 23 on Hulu.
