Charli XCX was the host and musical guest of SNL last night, performing two songs from her recently released album, Brat.

Before she performed her songs, Charli had some fun with her monologue. “I want to take a moment and thank someone who’s been with me throughout my whole career: Auto-Tune,” she joked. She also defined what “brat” means by referencing Martha Stewart’s recent feud with a journalist.

When it was time to hit the stage, Charli dived into her Brat bag. She performed “360” in front of a wall of Brat-shaded green, similar to how the song originally went viral for her singing it in Brooklyn in front of a green wall. For her performance of “360,” Charli serenaded the audience in front of her signature shade of green. She also took the stage to perform “Sympathy is a Knife” in front of a flashing backdrop that featured the words “PARTY GIRL.”

Charli also had fun in SNL’s signature sketches. In one of them focused on the auditions for the movie Wicked, she plays a couple of popular musicians trying out for the part like Adele and her frequent collaborator, Troye Sivan.

In a fun musical segment that makes use of Charli naturally, Andy Samberg’s The Lonely Island brings the singer in for a hilarious song about people messing with your lawn. Since she’s the highlight of the short tune, we have to wonder if they’ll collaborate again in the future. Could The Lonely Island become The Brat Island?

Elsewhere on SNL, Charli had starring roles in sketches about being an “It Girl” on Thanksgiving, appearing in Shrek: The Musical, and being a teacher’s star student.

In non-Charli SNL news, the recent episode featured a very telling joke about when the United States will see a female president — once men are extinct. Ouch.
