Charli XCX and the 1975’s George Daniel are now officially man and wife, having tied the knot this weekend.

According to TMZ, the happy couple got married on Saturday (July 19) in an intimate ceremony at the Hackney Town Hall in London. With the exception of Matt Healy, the rest of The 1975 were in attendance at the event which included roughly 20 guests.

The couple initially started off as musical collaborators. In 2021, Charli and The 1975 appeared on No Rome’s single “Spinning.” A year later, the two were spotted holding hands together in New York City, sparking speculation that they were dating. Months later, she confirmed it with a picture of them on vacation, accompanied by the caption: “A ~ delicious ~ week ~ off ~ 🧚."

In 2023, Charli opened up about their relationship in an interview with The Sun and explained how it changed her creative process.

"Now that I’m in a relationship with another musician, he’s influenced me a lot with his process and how he and his band work. It’s really different to how I work, and that has definitely influenced me and my process," she said.

Later that year, she detailed what it’s like to work with Daniel on the Spout Podcast.

"We’ve done a couple of things together. We’ve got a few ideas in the works," she said. "It’s funny, I have never been in a relationship with someone that I’ve worked with, so it’s like a whole new dynamic, but it’s cool ... There will probably be a couple of songs that he’s worked on with me.”

Charli also explained what it’s like to watch Daniel and Healy work together in the studio.

"They take a lot of time when they are making a record and generally in the past I have been very fast," she said. "That used to be part of my process, this spontaneous, instinctual thing ... Being around them, I have definitely adapted to the idea of sitting on songs, re-working things, playing them to friends, going back and forth and just living with the songs a bit more, so that is one way that my process has been perfected."

In February, a source revealed to The Sun that the two were planning their wedding to be in Italy initially.
