Thanks to delivery drones, Cardi B has broken a Guinness World Record with the release of her new album, Am I The Drama?
The rapper made the announcement on X with a post revealing how Walmart has been delivering the album to fans in Dallas, TX. “I can’t even believe this, my fans have been getting my album from drones,” she said.
She revealed that the specific world record broken was for “Most deliveries in one hour.” TMZ reports that the record was 176 drone deliveries.
Cardi’s drone deliveries are just one reason that the album has already been certified platinum after being out for only one day.
Upon its release, the Recording Industry Association of America announced that the album received a platinum certification due to the success of her previous singles “WAP,” which came out in 2020, and “Up,” which came out in 2021.
On Am I The Drama?, Cardi has some disrespectful bars for Bia and JT that Joe Budden doesn’t believe she wrote. On an episode of the Joe Budden Podcast that came out after the LP’s release, Budden said, "Whoever is writing these lines, he is smoking this shit.”
Cardi hopped online to address Budden’s comments in a now-deleted post, taking the slight as an attack on her pen game. "Whoever wrote it?" Cardi said wrote. "Nah that's CARDI.. this is my process... I'm a natural roaster and you already know I'm quick with the mouth so I'll be coming up with lines and I'll record myself then lay it later."
"Don't give me backhanded 10s cuz I'll always be able to prove my shit,” Cardi continued.
Along with her new album, Cardi’s fresh off revealing the news that she’s got a child on the way with her boyfriend Stefon Diggs. After sharing the news with Gayle King in a CBS interview, the journalist said that she has a “girl crush” on her.
“I think if you underestimate her, you do it at your own peril,” said King later. “She knows exactly what she’s doing.”
