Anderson .Paak is working on new music with Mariah Carey. The rapper appeared on a new episode of Track Star where he spoke on the singer after correctly guessing that the song being played was her 1995 hit single, “Always Be My Baby.”
“This would be Mariah Carey. The Mariah Carey. I remember in like fifth grade or something, watching the music videos and having a huge crush,” he said. “We’re working on some music on her new album.”
.Paak and Carey linked up last June at Electric Lady Studios in New York for recording sessions. Soon after, they sparked dating rumors when they were spotted together in Aspen holding hands. Apparently, they ate together at the city’s Catch Steak restaurant, where .Paak had his hand around Carey’s waist when they entered the establishment.
Just days later, the two reportedly went out together with friends in Aspen and ate at a Mediterranean restaurant. .Paak was spotted kissing her hand while her arm was touching his chest.
This March, the duo sat together at the 2025 iHeartRadio Music Awards.
US Weekly reports that sources have confirmed the two are romantically involved. “Mariah and Anderson are dating, they met working last summer and he has always been a huge fan and looked up to her,” claimed the source. “Their dates have been very far apart because of schedules, but it’s been going on a few months.”
Another source reportedly told the outlet that Carey “hasn’t seriously dated anyone in years” and that .Paak is the “first person she has truly been interested in.”
“He has really been keeping her attention and they are full on dating,” the source added. “Their relationship started in the studio as they were working on new music together and it quickly turned romantic.”
