2 Chainz is the definition of cool to hip-hop fans, but his son, Halo, might not think so after a family game that left him a little embarrassed.
In a recent episode of Me & Halo podcast, the father and son duo linked up with Lil Rel Howery and his son Judah to play a game of "Are you smarter than a fourth grader?" The rules were simple — the sons asked a question, their fathers had to answer.
When it was Chainz and Halo's turn, the nine-year-old had a simple question for his dad: "What has keys but can’t open doors?" The rapper's response, undoubtedly influenced by the past he often raps about, shocked Halo. "A drug dealer," he answered, prompting Lil Rel to add in, "I was thinking cocaine."
Halo revealed the answer and let the world know how surprised he was at his dad’s response. "A 'piano,' you’re so off," he said. "This is a family show." After 2 Chainz apologized, Halo added: "Kids are watching."
The rapper, however, got the next question right. "What weighs more: one pound of feathers or one pound of stones?" Halo asked. To which Chainz replied: "They both one pound."
In another clip of the podcast episode shared on Instagram, Halo claimed that he and his father "had to put the belt" on Lil Rel and Judah. "Y’all wanna come on our show and try to beat us?" asked Halo before mimicking himself spanking the two with an imaginary belt. "Very Tyrese Haliburton of you," responded Lil Rel.
Halo may have been embarrassed at his dad’s answer, but he has to be proud of him for announcing the release of his "spiritual memoir" next year.
The rapper has announced his new book, The Voice in Your Head is God, will hit shelves March 3, 2026. 2 Chainz hopped on Instagram and explained what inspired his first-ever book. "I want to welcome everyone to my newest journey as an author," he said. "The name of my first book is The Voice in Your Head is God. It is my most personal and introspective work to date."
"I talk about how the voice in my head I hear every day, all day, led me to the point where I'm right now and that's in front of you guys," 2 Chainz continued. “It is motivational, it's powerful, and it's raw. I know you're going to love it."
The Voice in Your Head is God is currently available for preorder.
