More details on the potential circumstances surrounding the shooting death of T-Hood, which Georgia law enforcement officials previously confirmed is being investigated as a “possible self-defense shooting,” have been made public.
Friday, Aug. 15, TMZ published a report that included footage they say shows T-Hood, born Tevin Hood, attacking girlfriend Kelsie Frost, daughter to Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta stars Kirk and Rasheeda Frost. As previously reported, Kelsie’s brother, Ky Frost, is said to be the suspect in the ongoing investigation, though local authorities had not yet named him in public statements as of this writing.
Per the latest, the video in question, seen here, was captured this year. In it, a man, reported to be T-Hood, is seen attacking a woman in bed, reported to be Frost. At one point, the man appears to be choking the woman before the two ultimately end up in the floor. There is no audio in the clip.
Also included in the report are images of injuries, presumably from a separate incident, with TMZ saying the pictures stem from November of last year.
Meanwhile, additional footage that seems to have been captured at the same apartment as the aforementioned clip has also been made public via a woman who said she is a friend of Kelsie’s.
“This is the things he used to do to my friend,” the woman said before showing a clip of another alleged attack, with the man, said to be T-Hood, appearing to punch Frost.
Complex has reached out to reps for the Gwinnett County Police Department for comment. This story may be updated. Friday's report further claims that police are in possession of footage stemming from the night of the fatal shooting.
“The investigation into the death of Tevin Hood remains active and ongoing,” a Gwinnett County Police Department spokesperson said in a statement shared earlier this week. “The shooter remained on scene at the time of the incident, and both the shooter and witnesses continue to cooperate with investigators. Preliminary information indicates that a domestic disturbance occurred at the residence, resulting in a female victim sustaining physical injuries.”
The spokesperson continued, “The shooter, who arrived at the residence after the physical altercation had taken place, separated himself from the residence before the shooting occurred. Currently, there is no evidence to suggest the involvement of additional parties beyond those residing in the home. Although the investigation is still ongoing and additional information will be released when it becomes available, this case is being investigated as a possible self-defense shooting.”
