Fascinatingly, perhaps even incredibly, SeaWorld San Diego has firmly cemented itself as a must-stop locale for touring artists of a certain era. Ying Yang Twins, for example, recently made headlines for their crunk classics-filled set at the Southern California hotspot.
The Atlantan duo is one of a number of acts to have taken the stage at the seemingly unlikely venue as of late, with select performers—like Soulja Boy and Bow Wow, for example—opting for repeat visits.
This is all part of SeaWorld San Diego’s Summer Spectacular Concert Series, access to which is bundled with park admission. The 2025 lineup still has a number of notable shows on the horizon including planned performances by Trina, Ginuwine, the I Love the 90s Tour featuring Color Me Badd and more, and the Turnt Up Tour led by Petey Pablo and Paul Wall.
Moving forward, it sounds like a potential expansion of SeaWorld San Diego’s intersection with live music is on the mind of organizers. In fact, a recent Rolling Stone piece by Complex alum Andre Gee mentions the possibility of a rock-focused concert series that could join the park’s lineup alongside Summer Spectacular and Viva La Musica in the future.
In the meantime, take a closer look at a selection of past SeaWorld San Diego performers below.
