Ice Spice says all she can do in response to claims from recent tour opener Cleotrapa is “sigh about it.”
As fans will note, Spice recently wrapped a run of North American dates in support of her Y2K! album with a closing stop in Miami Beach. Not long after, social media was awash with commentary spurred by a multi-part video statement released by Cleo on TikTok, who made a number of allegations related to her time on the road with Spice. Now, Spice has responded, telling fans in an X Spaces broadcast that she and Cleo had “fun” while traveling together.
“What are you really talking about right now?” Spice asked. “You’re gon’ send me a whole essay after tour, like you just gon’ just get off the bus. I don’t even know you got off the bus and you gon’ send me an essay with an intro, body, and conclusion and you want me to try to analyze this shit and figure out how I’m wrong when all I did was share my stage with you? When I ain’t even have to do that. You got less than 10,000 listeners and I’m sharing my stage with you and you feeling so entitled. Like, you thinking my peoples that work for me is supposed to work for you too. Like, that’s so crazy to me.”
Speaking further, Spice referred to Cleo’s claims as “rants” that are part of a larger “crashout.” She also zeroed in on a few specific claims, including a comparison in which the traditional tour bus layout was likened to a slave ship.
“The whole thing that’s blowing me right now is talking about some dark energy, trying to compare a tour bus to a slave ship. Like, what are you talking about right now? What?” Spice said. “That is crazy to me, bro. that is so crazy to me. You’re really gon’ be friends with somebody for two years but the whole time you feel like they soulless and dark? Like, you sound dumb as hell, bitch. If anything we both need saving. What the fuck are you talking about, bro? We was at the movie theaters, we was cyphin’. Bitch, you not gon’ tell the people how we was at an Italian restaurant and you ate so much fucking food, you fucking vacuum, that the server was like, where did the food go? Stop it right now.”
Spice also addressed the sleeping situation on the bus, specifically claims of Cleo not being allowed into the back area.
“Bitch, can I play with my pussy one time, in my bed one time?” she said. “Like, damn. You wanna sleep in my bed every day?”
Per Cleo, she and Spice are “not friends anymore.” Cleo has alleged that she was given “one single day” to prepare to join Spice on the road, marking an experience that she claims did not match up with what she was pitched. According to Cleo, she now believes she was added to the tour “simply because [Spice] wanted to damage control.” Cleo also referred to Spice as someone who “clearly isn’t competent,” further criticizing her as “manipulative” and “calculated.”
Elsewhere, Cleo, whose “Von Dutch” single arrived back in May, looked back on being “very supportive” of Spice prior to her mainstream breakthrough. She also claimed that her appearance on the tour was mishandled in terms of promotion, as were her backstage accommodations.
“Nobody knew I was coming on tour,” Cleo said. “She didn’t even shine any sort of her own light on me.”
As for alleged financial issues stemming from the tour, Cleo also detailed those, saying that Spice told her should be “good” while out on the road after asking upfront about any out-of-pocket costs on her part.
“I got a sense that she just wanted me to struggle and that’s kind of fucked up as a friend,” Cleo said.
Later, as seen below, Cleo claimed that Spice was at one point “shaking on your bus” because she allegedly thought Cardi B had “sent people to get you jumped.” The individuals in question, at least according to Cleo, turned out to be a woman with her children, all of whom were seeking autographs. Cleo, again on X, also seemingly responded to Spice’s “vacuum” remark, arguing that Ozempic (which Spice has repeatedly denied using) “got y’all gassed and fatphobic now.”
