Eem Triplin Jokingly Claims SZA Blocked Him After 'Dating' Post From Parody Account Daily Noud

“It was good while it lasted,” Triplin joked.

Daily Noud strikes again.

The popular parody account shared an X post on Friday, Oct. 3, that read “Eem Triplin and SZA are reportedly dating.” For those unfamiliar, the parody account, as should be clear given its status, routinely posts news-formatted updates ranging from the patently absurd to the playfully peculiar. This was no exception, Instagram screenshot and all.

Later, Triplin responded to the Daily Noud joke post with one of his own by jokingly claiming that he had since been blocked by SZA.

“It was good while it lasted,” he wrote, later theorizing that the five-time Grammy winner “would sound so good” on one of his songs.

Notably, several fans were quick to call the veracity of Triplin’s purported screenshot into question, citing the present-day format of blocking on X, the once-great platform formerly known as Twitter. The Noud team, meanwhile, continued the joke by offering a lighthearted apology.

Jokes aside, there is precedent when it comes to people quite publicly mistaking parody account posts for the real thing. Back in 2022, for example, Stephen A. Smith appeared to have done exactly that when he seemingly referenced a not-real report from the transparently named Ballsack Sports account.

Parody accounts have persisted for years, not infrequently leading to interactions with some of the stars who find themselves the subjects of their jokes. More recently, Young Thug asked “Wtf this gotta do with me?” after Daily Noud used a photo of the ComplexCon headliner in a post about the inflatable nature of pufferfish.

ComplexCon returns to Las Vegas on October 25–26, 2025, with over 300 brands and live performances by Young Thug, YEAT & Friends, Peso Pluma, Central Cee, Ken Carson, and more. Get your tickets now.
