Jim Jones revealed his thoughts on reconciling with Max B during a candid discussion about past conflicts.
In the latest episode of Jim's podcast Let's Rap About It, co-hosted by Fabolous, Maino, and Dave East, Maino brought up how Young Thug and YFN Lucci squashed their beef. He then asked Jones if the Harlem rapper could get past his issues with Max. Jones stated he's a petty person and, when it comes to Max, he's not over their past differences.
"I may forgive, I don't forget," Jones said. "And even if I forgive, I'm not here to make anybody feel comfortable."
Jones also circled back to Thug and Lucci's reconciliation, saying, "Just because someone else figured they situation...don't mean that everybody could be subjected to doing that... You don't know how severe it may be to a person."
Jones ended his thoughts on Max B by clarifying that he's focused on his life and success rather than revisiting conflicts.
"I don't give a fuck about what nobody do," he said. "I'm not actively pursuing nothing but this money."
Max B has taken a different approach. In a July interview with Drink Champs, Max, who is scheduled to released from prison on November 9, revealed that he has forgiven Jones and is ready to move forward. Calling in from Northern State Prison in New Jersey, Max explained that his time behind bars changed his perspective on their feud.
"Listen, man. It's love, man. I want to start over. I'm a new man. I'm a married man. I got four kids," said Max. "Like, I'm on a whole different time right now… I'm out here to get my money and ride out the sunset with this shit. It's in there for me, though. I'm gonna tell you that. So that's the goal."
The two rappers first began feuding in 2008 after Max left Jones' ByrdGang label due to financial disputes. Things then escalated into a full-blown conflict, with insults and diss songs flying back and forth. For anyone who may be interested, there's an 18-minute-long recap of the beef here.
