Ray J Predicts Diddy Will Walk Free: 'I Think They Made Their Point'

Ray J questioned the motives behind Diddy's sex trafficking case, suggesting it was retaliation.

Ray J is convinced Diddy will beat his federal criminal charges.

The 44-year-old artist explained his position in a recent appearance on Piers Morgan Uncovered, saying there’s a strong chance Diddy will be released from jail.

“I personally think it’s gonna happen faster than a lot of people think,” he told the titular host, “I think we’re all starting to see what this is, even if you’re on the other side of it. I mean, the justice system is the justice system. Where does this fit in right as opposed to right and wrong? It’s off. I don’t like it, and I want to be vocal about it.”

Months after Diddy was arrested on racketeering and sex trafficking charges, Ray J spoke out in defense of the disgraced hip-hop mogul. Ray J maintained that the allegations leveled in the indictment were baseless and that the case was part of a “conspiracy” to tear down the community. He echoed that theory during his conversation with Morgan.

“Looking at the crimes that he’s being charged for, this is where it starts to go overboard,” Ray J said. “Whoever was mad at the top was really mad… I think it’s a flex because what are they trying to get out of this court case?… Do they want to see Puffy rot in jail?

He continued: “Is that what we’re here for? Because I think that’s unfair… I honestly think that Diddy will get out, and there’s nothing here. I think they made their point. Whatever they were trying to make, your point is made. Now let Diddy out. Free Diddy!”

Ray J was also pressed about the security footage that showed Diddy assaulting his ex-girlfriendCassie Ventura. The “One Wish” singer described the video as “disturbing,” but said it was not enough to convict Diddy of sex trafficking and racketeering charges.

“I was very hurt when I saw the video. I couldn’t believe it,” he said. “I was very disappointed and I still am. My heart goes out to Cassie. There’s nothing about that that was OK… If he was charged for something that maybe fit what we saw (in the video), we all would kind of understand what’s going on.”

Ray J claimed he was hanging out with Diddy up until his September 2024 arrest. He also denied any knowledge of the so-called “freak-offs,” the drug-fueled sex parties Diddy allegedly orchestrated.

“All I got from that, when I hung out with Diddy — and this is word to my mom and kids — he’s always inspired me to be great,” he explained. “I attended a lot of parties with Diddy and there was never a freak-off… Whatever door they’re talking about, the freaky door, I never got an invitation, never knew it existed. And I feel like in my world that I’m in, and I like to party and have fun, at least I would’ve gotten an invitation.”
