Dame Dash might’ve fumbled not one, but two seven-figure business deals.
During the latest episode of Revolt’s Talk with Flee, Cam’ron continued to call out Dame over his heated interview on The Breakfast Club. After accusing Dame of “mixing the truth with the lies,” Cam made a bold claim about the hip-hop mogul’s previous stake in Roc-A-Fella Records, the label he co-founded with Jay-Z and Kareem “Biggs” Burke. Cam said he and Mase offered Dame $1 million to purchase his 33.3% stake in the company; however, Dame allegedly dismissed the deal because NBA YoungBoy had offered double.
“I’ve never known Dame to be a liar, but the way he was mixing the truth with the lies? Bro, that was really, really disappointing,” Cam said. “For instance, just one of the scenarios: He was like, ‘Yo, Cam and Mase, they didn’t really want to buy my third of Roc-A-Fella; they were just doing that to tease [Jay-Z].”
Cam acknowledged that Mase and Dame never had “the best relationship,” but when Mase saw that Dame was on the hook for $800,000, he wanted to help by purchasing his Roc-A-Fella shares.
“Mase was like, ‘Yo. Nah, bro… We can’t let this n***a go out like that,’” Cam recalled. “So, I call Dame, I say, ‘Yo, Mase wanna help out. We got a million [dollars].’ He’s like, ‘Well, I don’t know because Youngboy NBA called me up [and] he’s got $2 million.’ We like, all right, cool. We just wanted to get [Dame] out of the news for looking bad.”
Cam said the NBA YoungBoy offer fell through, so Mase continued reaching out to Dame in an effort to lock down a deal. Dame allegedly told the duo to “just wait on it,” as he had another $6 million offer in the works.
“So Mase is like, ‘Bro, you can have a million [dollars] today in your account. Today. Today,” Cam continued.
Three weeks later, Dame allegedly called Cam back and asked if they still wanted to purchase his Roc-A-Fella stake for $1 million. But by that time, Cam and Mase had lost interest.
“I said, ‘Dame, Mase ain’t picking up… I don’t think he wants to do it,’” Cam said. “[Dame] tries to use reverse psychology on me and be like, ‘Oh, you got to wait for that n***a to bust a move… You can’t bust your own moves.’ ‘No, I can’t, Dame. I can’t bust my own moves.’ I’m not feeding into that, no. I got $500,000, and Mase got $500,000."
Cam claimed he and Mase planned to buy Dame’s ownership and sell it for a 100% profit; they would then give Dame $1 million back so “he could have some bread.”
“We weren’t trying to get at Jay-Z… Behind closed doors, we really was trying to give you the money so you could get the f-ck out the news for owing $800,000,” Cam continued. “We felt embarrassed for you.”
The Dipset rapper said he was glad the deal fell through because he always knew it was a “bad investment.”
In 2024, Dash was forced to sell his stake in Roc-A-Fella to satisfy a 2022 lawsuit judgment. The State of New York ultimately purchased his shares for $1 million.
