Since exploding onto the scene with her 2017 freestyle-turned-viral hit “Icy Grl," Saweetie’s career has continued to pop, which is why she’s a perfect fit for Verizon 5G's Concerts in the City Series.
Verizon 5G has partnered with Complex to produce a free, four-part concert series nationwide. Concerts In The City will feature entertainers who encompass a strong sense of artistry, and personify the spirit of the performance locations: Atlanta, Nashville, Houston, and Los Angeles. These performances will allow fans to connect with their faves in a more intimate way, keeping true to Verizon 5G's mission of fostering community to bring people together.
R&B star Jacquees will headline the Atlanta show, while country star Kane Brown will take over Nashville for the night. Singer-songwriter Sinéad Harnett will head to Houston for her performance, and GRAMMY-nominated emcee and mogul Saweetie is set to headline the event in Los Angeles, California.
As a proud Bay Area native whose music and trendsetting style embody the vibrant vibe of The Golden State, it’s no wonder Saweetie is a perfect fit for Concerts in the City. Even with millions of social media followers watching her every move, Saweetie consistently keeps it 100, staying true to her origins while connecting with fans across generations.
