NLE Choppa believes that Jonathan Majors and others were underestimating his "wisdom" during a roundtable on Kirk Franklin's podcast Den of Kings.

On the episode, which premiered earlier this month, the Memphis rapper tried to discuss religion with men at the table, including Franklin and Ray J. At one point, NLE contemplated calling Jesus his "brother" based on what he read in the Bible, to which Majors told him to reread the Bible. Elsewhere, Ray J questioned NLE on whether he had enough life experience to teach other men on the podcast.

The "Slut Me Out 2" artist clearly noticed mixed reactions to the podcast episode, because he commented on the YouTube video and recalled the "tough" experience.

"It’s tough to listen to a group of people when they try to undermine wisdom because of my age," NLE admitted. "Truth is I’ve lived more than an average 22 year old. Everything they mentioned going through I have withstood with them. Addiction, suicidal thoughts, deaths, fatherhood, smear campaigns, and etc."

NLE added that he felt "inadequate" among the men, claiming that they misjudged what he had to say due to his age, which put him "in defense mode."

"A lot of moments I for sure was out of alignment with listening but I had my reason," he continued. "The brother Johnathan couldn’t even make eye contact with me the entire interview and that’s just one minor thing in list of several that took me out of the conversation."

NLE explained that during certain parts of the podcast, he felt as if he was "fighting a feeling of being attacked" because of his "intellect."

"I’m a empath so everything I feel I take it to the 10th degree. In all honesty the version of me God is molding isn’t done yet," he concluded. "I don’t feel I was ready to do an interview cause this was my first in a long time but hey I tried. Appreciate the opportunity Kirk ✊🏽"

Hundreds of YouTubers replied to NLE's comment and affirmed that the rapper belonged among the group despite their reactions to what he brought to the discussion.

Days after the episode dropped, NLE shared several Bible scriptures that seemed to back his stance of considering Jesus to be his brother.
