Kevin Gates keeps his pull-out game tight.

The Baton Rouge rapper, who makes it obligatory to give wild statements, appeared on the Monday (May 26) episode of podcast The Truth After Dark, and told hosts Paul Pierce and Azar Farideh about his purpose behind semen retention. Gates, who's dating Brittany Renner, began talking about it around the 11-minute mark of the video below.

"It's probably been going, maybe, six years now," Gates said. "I don't look at women objectively ... 'cause I could just go masturbate."

The "Thinking With My Dick" artist said he discovered the importance of ejaculation when "engaging intimately" with a woman who was sexually frustrated with him.

"I was spiritually aligning myself with somebody and she was [like], 'You don't cum?' I said I don't." Gates recalled. "She got upset with me and I was like, 'Why is this such a big deal? She changed in all her energy–'Cause I want it–and that's when I realized the value that the life force has. It's so powerful that it can create a child."

Gates explained that there's "exercises you can do to move the energy" for "orgasms to stay on the inside." "'Cause after you release you feel weak."

When asked about the purpose, Gates said that his intention behind semen retention is to "manifest." "We could create a child or we can give birth to whatever we manifest in our business," he said.

Gates also mentioned the feminine release of "Amrita" which he called the "golden fluid," known among Eastern spirituality practices.

"That gives immortality the elixir of life," he explained. "When they took the cells from the woman and they looked at them under the microscope, they kept on recreating and recreating and recreating the melanated woman."

Gates spoke about semen retention before, like in a 2024 episode of Million Dollaz Worth of Game, where he admitted to having a "wet dream here and there."

Sharing a similar perspective of semen retention was Joey Badass in 2022, although he's now expecting a child with actress-singer Serayah.
