Bombshell allegations keep coming about Britney Spears in new Kevin Federline memoir, You Thought You Knew.
In addition to alleging that his then-wife had an affair with a woman and stood outside their sons' bedroom with a knife, in a new book excerpt, the DJ and entertainer claims that Spears used cocaine while breastfeeding. Federline and Spears were married from 2004 to 2007 and share two sons, Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden James, 18.
Federline, who has been married to entrepreneur and former athlete Victoria Prince since 2013, claims that at the time, Spears was supposed to be watching their sons, but instead attended the release party for his 2006 album, Playing With Fire.
In the excerpt, obtained by Variety, Federline recounted that he hadn't expected to see Spears' father, Jamie Lynn, who informed the rapper that his daughter was "not good."
"The first thing I saw was Britney and her young starlet friend snorting a fat line of coke off the table," Federline claimed. "Both were wearing these outrageous wigs. Britney’s was electric blue. It was surreal. They didn’t even try to hide it."
While representatives for Spears have denied allegations in Federline's book and accused him "gaslighting," Federline recently told Access Hollywood that he "stayed silent for a long time."
"I just really what my kids have gone through through all of this, you know, that's that's always the toughest part for me as a father," he told the outlet. "I mean, you want to protect your kids. You want to do right by them. And sharing
some of their experiences and what we've had to deal with as a family through
that is really tough."
During Federline and Spears' divorce, the ex-spouses had a custody battle over their sons and Federline went on to have primary custody of Sean and Jayden. Recent Instagram posts show that the pop vocalist and Jayden have reconnected after a period of estrangement.
