Chance the Rapper has spoken on whether or not he would ever get married again, which comes after he finalized his divorce earlier this year.

On Thursday (August 28), the Star Line rapper stepped into The Shade Room Live, and co-host Tone Kapone asked whether he'd consider marriage in the future.

"No, I just I just be chilling. You feel me? Like, I be chilling," he said in the clip below. "I feel like with rap, especially, like you're expected to tell your story and expected to also have stuff that connects with people. But we all just humans."

In January, Chance finalized his divorce from Kirsten Corley, whom he married in 2019 and shares two daughters with, Kensli, 9, and Marli, 6.

During his Shade Room chat, Chance added that "life just be lifing" and that he respects the "institution" of marriage despite splitting from Corley.

"I still respect it totally. You know what I'm saying? Especially 'cause that's what the Bible says you're supposed to do," he continued. "Like, I ain't gonna downplay it at all. But right now, I'm just figuring that life out."

When TSR Live host Zach Boog suggested that Chance was "back outside," he laughed in embarrassment but extended marriage advice to another of the show's hosts, On Air Keke.

"I don't know. I think I'm going to just say God bless y'all union," he said. "I pray that y'all get the wisdom that only comes from God on how to treat each other and how to care for each other and how to be considerate of each other."

When Boog, who's also divorced, asked for advice on "back-outsideness," Chance said that he "just got here." "I don't know. Do you have advice for me?" the Grammy winner joked. "I've only been here a couple of days."

Earlier this month, Chance visited Way Up With Angela Yee, where he insisted he doesn't have the "answers" to a stable marriage based on dysfunctional relationships he witnessed as a child.

"I don't know the answers at all. I don't know what's right and what's wrong," Chance said on the show. "I do know that, like, growing up I used to see — and I didn't understand it when I was a kid. I'm like, 'Damn, why my uncle like sleep in the basement? Why is my auntie's room on the top floor?'"
