After experiencing a scary incident at a concert in Miami, Florida, Billie Eilish took the time to thank one of her fans for coming to her defense.
18-year-old Aniyah, now affectionately known in Eilish’s fandom as “red bandana girl,” went viral after footage shows her confronting a man who violently grabbed Eilish’s arm as she walked past the front-row barricade.
Since then, life has been a whirlwind for the young fan. Eilish’s brother, Finneas, shouted her out on Instagram, writing, “Red bandana girl from last night’s show rules.”
Shortly after being identified, Aniyah also gained an influx of followers on social media, most notably racking up over half a million on TikTok in just a few hours.
Stubhub then reached out to Aniyah, offering her floor seats to the next night of Eilish’s Miami run. To make things even better, the “Birds of a Feather” singer sent her a care package of merch as a thank you.
In a story time posted to TikTok, the young fan explained that she only purchased a pit ticket a few hours before the show after a fan groupchat announced extras appeared on Ticketmaster. Although she was almost 300 in line for general admission, she found her way to the barricade when she returned to enter the venue. Thus, Aniyah was able to come to Eilish’s defense when the concertgoer grabbed her.
Eilish has not commented on the incident, although authorities confirmed to ABC News that the culprit was removed from the venue.
