17. Lupe Fiasco Says Cassidy Is a Better Rapper Than Kendrick Lamar

Remember when people didn't think Lupe Fiasco was bat shit crazy? Those were the days. During an interview with Hot 97's Peter Rosenberg, Fiasco said that he thinks Cassidy is a better rapper than Kendrick Lamar and accused Rosenberg of being a "nut hugger" for Kendrick. Also included on Fiasco's "better than Kendrick" list? Logic and King Los. So, to be clear again, Fiasco thinks, lyrically, Cassidy is a better rapper than Kendrick Lamar. Makes sense—Cassidy did make "My Drink n My 2 Step" which had lyrical gems like "My money used to be immature now my shit grown/Big wheels, big homes, I'm doing it big holmes." I mean we're talking Rakim type shit here people.

16. T.I. & LL Cool J Rap at The Tony Awards...With Hugh Jackman

During the 2014 Tony Awards, T.I. and LL Cool J joined Hugh Jackman for an exremely awkward rap version of "The Music Man" that should only be watched once for reference and then never again. During the show, Hugh Jackman alluded to the fact that the first rap song may have actually been created by Broadway composer Meredith Wilson back in 1957. The 50s? Oh, for sure, old white men were definitely all for rap music and pushing black culture forward in the 50s.

15. Benzino Shot and Injured During Mother's Funeral

During his mother's funeral procession in March, Benzino was shot by his nephew, injuring his arm and grazing his back. The aftermath of the incident was captured as part of Love & Hip-Hop: Atlanta, in which Benzino stars. Immediately following the shooting, 'Zino was described as being in "critical condition." But as it turns out, 'Zino got shot in his arm twice...you know, the area of the body where you can't be in "critical condition" from being shot. Mere hours after the shooting this guy was giving interviews and saying he was more "embarassed" than anything. We'd be embarassed too.

14. Busta Rhymes Attends the BET Awards Looking like the Floor of Dance, Dance, Revolution

Busta Rhymes' 2014 BET Awards outfit set social media ablaze...and not in a good way. Comments about the outfit ranged from "Busta Rhymes looks like the Cheesecake Factory bag" to "Busta Rhymes looked like that black dude from Futurama." Busta might be known for saying "Gimmie some mo,'" but this outfit could have used a little less.

13. August Alsina Only Wants to Talk About His Songz on 106 & Park

The first rule of Trey Songz is don't talk about Trey Songz. At least that's the philosophy if your name is August Alsina (and that's probably not your name because whose name is August?). Earlier this year, 106 & Park co-host Keshia Chante crossed the line when she asked Alsina about his beef with Trey Songz. Alsina responded to Keshia by saying "I just told y'all not to ask me that shit when I got up in here." Chante then continued to press Alsina on the question making for a more uncomfortable situation than 106 & Park co-host Bow Wow Shad Moss trying to get on the grown up rides at the amusement park.

12. Nick Cannon Wears Creepy White Face

In promotion of his new album White People Party Music (okay fine, that's an amazing title), Nick Cannon posted to Instagram pictures of him donning "whiteface" as a character named "Connor Smallnut" with red hair, a beenie, and a plaid shirt. Cannon says the outfit wasn't racist but rather meant to be humorous. If there is anyone that knows a lot about white people, it's Nick Cannon...but that's still no excuse for making fun of Ed Sheeran. We can understand why people are upset.

11. Robin Thicke Publicly Stalks Paula Patton With New Album

Robin Thicke has been on a more aggressive campaign than Obama's first Presidential run to win back his wife Paula Patton. His latest album is named Paula and features songs all recorded with the intention of wooing Paula back. We already told you why you shouldn't feel bad for Robin Thicke, but with his pathetic album sales, we take it no one cares enough to feel bad for him.

10. DJ Khaled's Cites "The Streets" on ESPN's First Take

During an interview on ESPN's First Take, DJ Khaled accused the San Antonio Spurs of purposely turning the arena air conditioning off during the first game of the NBA finals (or the Cramp Game, as it's become known). When asked his source for this information, DJ Khaled cited "the streets." It isn't common knowledge that "the streets" are a strong point of information on HVAC services, but then again, DJ Khaled isn't your average insider. Remember the time Khaled went to Marcy Projects because he wanted to "see what type of trees is growing in Marcy Projects, what type of water Jay Z was drinking." This guy is just all about research.

9. Rick Ross Gets Allegedley Run out of Detroit By Angry Mob

Fine. Using the word "run" and Rick Ross in the same heading may not be the best idea (slowly walked might have been better), but the alleged 100 person mob that blocked Rick Ross from performing at Hot 107.5 Summer Jamz concert made damn sure that the "biggest boss that you've seen thus far" would only be seen from afar and not on stage. Early reports indicated it was Detroit rapper Trick Trick that initiated the mob blockade. Trick responded to the comments in an 11-minute video tirade by getting angry about having to respond to comments about Rick Ross and encouraged people to check out his new mixtape.

8. Azealia Banks Starts Yet Another Unnecessary Beef with T.I.

A lack of buzz, any new music, or any shred of relevancy didn't stop Azealia Banks from going at T.I. and his wife Tiny in June on Twitter tweeting "U want no mediocore [sic] but...Have you seen your wife?" Tip responded to this very simply on Instagram by saying that Banks was a "musty-mouthed-thot-bot-bad-body-syphilis-lipped-rectum-vomit-unimportant-ugggggly-monstrosity-of-a-maggot-ass BIIIIIIIITCCHHHH..." (is that all?). It wasn't the first time these two had it out with one another. Back in 2012, Banks and Iggy Azalea got into it when Banks disapproved of Iggy's placement on the 2012 XXL Freshmen cover and Tip came to the aid of his artist. The only thing worse than Banks trying to stay relevant was T.I. being baited into the fray yet again.

7. Macklemore Dons a Stage Costume That Looks Exactly Like What People Would Wear if They Were Making Fun of Jewish People

Quick, think of one thing you wouldn't want to do if you were one of the newest superstars in the music industry. Did "make fun of Jewish people" come to mind? If it did, you would be correct. During a concert in his hometown of Seattle in May, Macklemore took the stage wearing a costume made up of a fake, abnormally large nose, full black beard, and wig—which is the exact kind of costume you'd wear if you wanted to make fun of Jewish people. Macklemore tried to explain the costume by saying "most people" thought he looked like Ringo Starr or Abe Lincoln. By "most people," we assume Macklemore means him and Ryan Lewis. The heat got so bad that even Seth Rogen got in the mix and tweeted some ether at Macklemore.

.@macklemore really?? Because if I told someone to put together an anti Semitic Jew costume, they'd have that exact shopping list.

— Seth Rogen (@Sethrogen) May 19, 2014

.@macklemore, first you trick people into thinking you're a rapper, now you trick them into thinking you're Jewish? pic.twitter.com/3rtaE4GHje

— Seth Rogen (@Sethrogen) May 18, 2014

Of course, Macklemore eventually released an apology.

6. Slowbucks Gets Chain Snatched; Holds First Press Conference in the History of Snitching

Whether you admit it or not, your favorite moment of Hot 97's 2014 Summer Jam was Slowbucks getting his chain snatched on-stage during 50 Cent's performance. And if that wasn't enough embarassment for Bucks, he followed this up by holding the first press conference in the history of snitching. Bucks alluded to 50's involvement in the chain snatching to which 50 promptly denied but not before taking a jab at Bucks during a G-Unit reunion show where he said on stage, "I want everyone to get home safe, because there's so much police in here courtesy of Slowbucks." Side note: Why would you name yourself Slowbucks? Isn't the point for money to come fast? Why do you want money to come slow? Are we thinking about this too deeply?

5. 50 Cent Throws The Worst First Pitch Ever

We're not going to say 50 Cent throws like a girl but, did you just see that first pitch? 50 Cent had the honor of throwing out the first pitch at a recent New York Mets game and managed to throw the ball so far left of the catcher's glove, it wound up at Yankees Stadium. In fact, we're pretty sure 50 Cent made a considerable impression on his future Special Olympics hopes with this pitch. On the bright side, 50's arm isn't that much worse than Zack Wheeler's.

4. Rick Ross Misses The Target with Trayvon Martin Line

On his song "BLK & WHT," Rick Ross spit, "Trayvon Martin, I'm never missing my target." Because...well...he thought it was a good idea? The line set-off a firestorm of criticism (though not worse than the firestorm he set off with his "molly all in her champagne" line) to which Ross released a statement saying, "There I'm reminding people that if you're a black person or a person of any color, for that matter, in this country, you have to be accurate, whatever moves you make, stay accurate." This basically translates to...we have no idea. Stay accurate? Ross is using Trayvon Martin as a metaphor to say that he's "accurate" with a firearm which is not only disrespectful, but a lie. We all know the only thing Ross is shooting is preview videos of the preview video for his new video.

3. Justin Bieber Releases Racist Hits Collection

Justin Bieber took not one, but two huge Ls when videos of him using the N-word hit the Internet. Aside from the fact Bieber's "One Less Lonely N*gga" remix was actually better than the original "One Less Lonely Girl," these videos were a terrible look for Bieber. But everything's fine now according to Mack Maine, because Bieber isn't actually racist. In Mack's eyes he's "legitimately adopted black culture." You know, by hanging out with Lil' Twist.

2. Macklemore Instagrams Private Text Message to Kendrick Lamar

Following his Grammy win for Best Rap Album (and following what must have been hours of white guilt), Macklemore sent a private text message to Kendrick Lamar telling Dot good kid, m.A.A.d. city should have won Best Rap Album. Instead of waiting for Kendrick to respond and, you know, address the matter in private, Macklemore proceeded to share the message he sent on Instagram with millions of others. The Internet was up in arms about the whole situation, but Kendrick took it in stride telling Billboard, "That text surprised me, but Macklemore is a genuine dude...However it panned out, I wish him much success." However, it was Drake who actually took offense, telling Rolling Stone, "That shit was wack as fuck" before complaining about not getting a text message from Macklemore himself. Note for Macklemore: Send Drake Emojis next time.

1. Cutting Off Your Own Penis Ain't Nuthin Ta F' Wit

"Protect Ya Neck"...and don't forget your penis. Christ Bearer, a member of Wu-Tang affiliate group Northstar, took the "Guillotine (Swordz)" to himself earlier this year when he proceeded to slice off his own penis and then jump out of an apartment balcony window. Since the incident, Bearer has had his junior Wu member re-attached and now hopes to ignite a porn career because is there anything people love more in porn than dismembered penises? RZA's response to the whole situation? "That shit sound mythical," said the Wu-Tang leader. Yup, RZA's quote is about as confusing as the situation itself.
