Kylie Jenner has revived her King Kylie persona, first popularized in 2014, with a new cosmetics line and her first-ever song release.
According to People, the King Kylie collection will launch through Kylie Cosmetics on October 18, featuring products inspired by the bold aesthetic that defined Jenner’s earlier social media era.
On October 11, Jenner was seen in Los Angeles wearing a white crop top with the word “KING,” a look that referenced the original style and previewed the collection.
Days before the launch, Jenner expanded the revival into music. At 9 p.m. PT on October 13, she released “Fourth Strike,” a song recorded with Los Angeles electro-pop duo Terror Jr. The track was posted to her official YouTube channel and features Jenner performing the third verse under the King Kylie name.
The song includes verses by Terror Jr. members Felix Snow and David “Campa” Singer-Vine, followed by Jenner’s appearance. In her verse, Jenner delivers lines such as, “One strike, two strike, let me get the mood right,” and, “Write your name all over my body/Cross the line, I might do it again.”
The track also includes her whispering the phrase “King Kylie,” a direct reference to the persona she has been reintroducing in recent weeks.
This collaboration marks Jenner’s first official release as a recording artist, though she has been connected to Terror Jr. since 2016. That year, speculation spread online that Jenner was the group’s lead singer following the release of their song “Three Strikes.”
Jenner publicly denied the rumors at the time, but the connection between her and the group remained a recurring topic.
The video for “Fourth Strike” follows Jenner’s recent release of “Glosses Part 2” on Snapchat, a continuation of a 2016 clip initially created to promote her lip gloss line. Together, the new video, song, and upcoming cosmetics launch represent a coordinated return to the King Kylie branding.
Outside of her business ventures, Jenner has also been in the public eye alongside her boyfriend, actor Timothée Chalamet, whom she recently supported during his press run for the film Marty Supreme.
