Tory Lanez is reportedly receiving treatment in a hospital after he was stabbed in prison.

As reported by TMZ, the 32-year-old Canadian rapper was stabbed by another inmate on Monday, May 12, during an altercation in the yard of the California Correctional Institution at Tehachapi. A source said that Lanez was taken to a hospital in an ambulance following the stabbing, which is said to be non-life-threatening. The motivation for the attack has not been revealed.

He is currently serving ten years behind bars for the 2020 shooting of Megan Thee Stallion. Earlier this year, Megan was granted a five-year restraining order against Lanez, who has denied that he was responsible for the incident. He has continued to record music while incarcerated, despite a riot disrupting a recording session in February.

In March, Lanez released his album Peterson, on which he reiterated claims he made in an ethics complaint against his lawyer filed last year. In the claim, which was rejected by the State Bar, Lanez asserted that his former attorney, Shawn Holley, was in some way associated with Roc Nation, with whom Megan signed a management deal in 2019. He also claimed on the record that Chris Brown covered his lawyer fees while he was in jail.

More recently, Megan's legal team successfully requested the court impose sanctions on Lanez after he cut a deposition short with "disruptive" and "inflammatory" behavior.
