A teenage YoungBoy Never Broke Again fan who assaulted a 66-year-old Kansas City T-Mobile Center employee has been charged with felony assault.

As reported by TMZ, the 14-year-old fan was captured on video punching a guest services employee during YoungBoy’s Kansas City show last month. The teenager, who has not been identified because he’s a minor, has been charged with felony assault and misdemeanor assault in connection with the attack, as confirmed by a Kansas City court administrator.

“The teenager is now charged in connection with the attack of a T-Mobile Center employee during an NBA YoungBoy concert last week,” the court administrator said. “The Juvenile Office of the 16th Judicial Circuit in Jackson County filed one felony assault charge and one misdemeanor assault charge against the teen suspect.”

While the juvenile charged in the assault hasn’t been identified, the man who was attacked has been identified as Thomas Schlange. In an interview with WDAF, Schlange said that he believes accountability is important. “I think people should be able to go to T-Mobile or any other venue in the city, purchase a ticket and enjoy their show,” Schlange said. "And they should not be interrupted by people who misbehave... I went down and had blows to my head."

Schlange said that he was attacked by the young fan after he told him that he wasn’t in his assigned seat and he needed to move. Witness Robert McDaniel said the young fan “completely lost it” after he was asked to move. “There is something going on in his heart that needs to be fixed—and what that is, is his emotions,” said McDaniel. “He needs to learn how to operate and work through and process those emotions."

YoungBoy has not commented on the incident, but before the show, he received a Kansas City proclamation for being a positive role model.
