Lil Durk Supporters Threatened a Prosecutor and a Judge, Feds Reveal

Durk himself had "no direct link" to the threats, authorities clarified.

The government has revealed that supporters of Lil Durk have made threats against a prosecutor and a judge involved in his murder-for-hire trial.

In court documents obtained by Complex, which were filed as part of a request for an anonymous jury due to safety concerns, an FBI report details four voicemails left on a Central District of California United States Magistrate Judge’s line, threatening them if Durk and co-defendant Deandre Wilson are convicted.

“If they get life… I’m gonna burn this motherfucker down,” one of the voicemails to the judge reportedly said. “Burn it to the ground… It’s not a game bitch.”

Assistant United States Attorney Ian Yanniello, one of the prosecutors on the case, also received a phone call from an unidentified male caller, who told him, “Free Durk, or we gonna shoot that motherfucker up.” Yanniello picked up the call and asked who they wanted to shoot, and they replied, “Shit, your ass.”

“Defendants’ supporters have already attempted to intimidate individuals connected to this case,” the government's request for an anonymous jury reads. The document lists the threats as one of the reasons that the government is requesting to keep identifying details of the jurors secret even to the attorneys trying the case, although it also notes that the government’s investigation into the threats “uncovered no direct link to defendants.”

Lil Durk, real name Durk Devontay Banks, is currently awaiting trial on murder-for-hire charges in connection with the August 2022 fatal shooting of Saviay’a Robinson, the cousin of rapper Quando Rondo. It is believed that Quando Rondo was the intended target of the shooting, which is suspected to be retaliation for the killing of King Von. Prosecutors have alleged that Durk ordered the shooting and other violent incidents connected to Only the Family (OTF) members.

The trial was originally scheduled to kick off in October, but it was recently delayed to January 2026 due to the “complex” nature of the case. Durk wanted the trial to happen in October, but the other defendants in the case agreed to the decision to push it back. Earlier this week, Durk filed a number of motions to have the case dismissed.
