DJ Khaled was recently on the receiving end of a mysterious coffin that appeared outside of his Miami, Florida home, and it appeared to reference his recent issues with Drake.
As reported by TMZ, two people in a truck pulled up to Khaled's property on Saturday, Feb. 15 and told a security guard that they worked for a delivery company. The two individuals left behind a black coffin, which they rested on the gate to Khaled's home. The casket featured a crudely drawn upside down white cross, and text reading, 'RIP OVO' and 'RIP Drake.'
According to the police report, the two individuals prayed on their knees in front of the coffin before they left. The security guard later disposed of the casket and had it destroyed. Police reportedly aren't investigating the incident, but it bares a striking resemblance to something that happened to fellow Florida resident Tekashi 6ix9ine, although the one left outside his property did not reference Drake.
As reported by TMZ last week, 6ix9ine was on the receiving end of a black casket with an upside down cross that featured text that read, 'RIP King Von.' 6ix9ine had beef with the late rapper, who was fatally shot in Atlanta, Georgia in 2020. Police responded to that casket by deploying a bomb squad, but the only thing inside of the casket was a bottle of hand sanitizer. For what it's worth, 6ix9ine wasn't bothered by the coffin to much and expressed a desire to keep it.
It's unclear what the connection is between the two coffins, or if they're from the same culprits, but the one at Khaled's property comes not long after Drake took shots at the God Did rapper. Khaled recently shared a 7-minute trailer for his new album, Aalam of God, which teased two songs featuring Drake. However, Drizzy later responded to the trailer and joked, "Must be Drake Bell."
