50 Cent Thinks Artificial Intelligence Is Here to Stay: 'You Can't Beat AI'

The entertainment mogul also suggested that if he were to use AI to change the genre of his music, it might reach a wider audience that way.

50 Cent has shared why he’s already embraced artificial intelligence technology and why he thinks others should too.

In an interview with Jordan Rose for Complex, which can be seen above, Fif was asked about when he recently posted videos of some of his tracks reimagined as old-school R&B tracks.

"I really like those songs, the ones that I’ve posted… I really like them," he shared around the six-minute mark. "Look, if it will reach someone that I missed, someone who couldn’t hear what I was trying to say to them in the writing, they can hear it now in that format."

He seemed very impressed with the results of the AI technology, which reimagined his songs "21 Questions" and "God Gave Me Style." He also added that he hopes to use the technology on some of his unreleased music. "I don’t know where the AI got these voices from, but these are some good voices," he continued. "Like, if these guys came out in that time period, they would have been competition for the guys that were there."

When asked if he is concerned about how far AI technology has come over the past few years, he indicated that he’s not too worried because the tech is already here and he’s not willing to fight against it.

"You want to fight something — I don’t like fighting fights I can’t win," he said. "I don’t think you can beat AI. I think you to need to go with it. I think we need to look at how do we create business that works well with it, and perform faster and progress as it progresses. It’s not going to stop [progressing]."

He said he’s aware that people have different opinions on artificial intelligence, but he believes that critical people might just be using it anyway, too.

Earlier this year, Joe Rogan shared his reaction to a soulful rendition of 50 Cent's "Many Men (Wish Death)" and suggested that he was really impressed with the results. He also admitted that it was "fucking scary," however.
