Following the filing of a lawsuit accusing Jay-Z of raping a 13-year-old girl with Diddy in 2000, 50 Cent has chimed in to ask if this will impact the Super Bowl Halftime Show.

"Ok I don't know what's going on, but are we gonna still have the Super Bowl," he wrote alongside an image of himself, in what was another one of his with one of his characteristically troll-like posts."I'm just asking for a friend!" 50 Cent, recently doubled down on his claim that Hov tried to stop him from performing at the Super Bowl in 2022

On Sunday, December 8, Hov released a statement denying the "heinous" allegation against him and made his own accusations against lawyer Tony Buzbee, who he called a "deplorable human."

Jay-Z's Roc Nation has had a partnership with the NFL since 2019, selecting the performers for the Halftime Shows. The partnership has had its fair share of controversies, most recently becoming a huge talking point after Kendrick Lamar was announced as the performer at the Super Bowl next year.

50 Cent has repeatedly suggested that Hov tried to block him from performing at the Super Bowl in 2022 alongside Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar. "He was doing some slick shit," he told Cam'ron. "He was saying to Eminem that the NFL had the issue with me. And I’m like, well, what’s the issue? Why don’t they have an issue when I’m becoming a partner with the actual teams?"

In the lawsuit filed against Hov, he was accused of raping a 13-year-old alongside Diddy at an afterparty following the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards. She filed the lawsuit in October, but only named Diddy at the time. Attorney Tony Buzbee later filed an amended complaint to include Jay-Z as a defendant.

"My only heartbreak is for my family," Jay wrote in a statement, which Ebro Darden tweeted was written by the rapper and multimedia mogul himself on his phone. "My wife and I will have to sit our children down, one of whom is at the age where her friends will surely see the press and ask questions about the nature of these claims, and explain the cruelty and greed of people."

Meek Mill is one of the only other rappers besides 50 Cent to respond to the lawsuit so far. Meek, who has a friendly relationship with Hov, suggested that the lawsuit is a "false narrative" being pushed on social media to "program" people.
