UPDATED 5/15, 5:50 p.m. ET: According to People, Halle Bailey has been granted temporary physical and legal custody of her and DDG's son, Halo. The temporary restraining order she was granted will reportedly last until June 4. This comes after reports earlier this week that The Little Mermaid actress filed a police report alleging that her former boyfriend abused her physically and emotionally.
"I realize that there is no placating Darryl. I cannot allow this abuse any longer. I cannot keep living like this," she said in court docs, according to People. "I never know when he is going to demand our son to be in his mother's care and whether I will be subjected to his threats and abuse."
Bailey also reportedly asked the court to prevent DDG from leaving Los Angeles with their son and requested that he not be allowed to visit him alone. She then asked that DDG be granted supervised visits with a professional company once a week for six hours while Halo is in Los Angeles.

Halle Bailey has reportedly been granted a restraining order against her ex-boyfriend and the father of her child, DDG.
According to TMZ on Tuesday, Bailey filed a police report against the YouTuber and was seeking a court order for protection after he allegedly attacked her on multiple occasions.
The outlet notes that a judge has granted Bailey a domestic violence restraining order against DDG, whose real name is Daryl Dwayne Granberry Jr. The order reportedly requires DDG to stay 100 yards away from her and to stop posting and streaming about their child.
According to court documents reviewed by TMZ, Bailey claimed that things first turned physical in January, after the couple had broken up in October 2024. She claimed DDG came over to work out a visitation schedule for their 16-month-old son, and that’s when things allegedly got heated.
Per TMZ, Bailey claims she was putting Halo into his car seat when DDG allegedly became agitated and told her to get out of his car.
According the outlet, the two allegedly began wrestling, and that’s when DDG reportedly started pulling her hair, slamming her face into his steering wheel, and chipping her tooth. TMZ notes the restraining order that was requested contains photos of her injuries, including a chipped tooth and bruises on her arm.
In the documents, she also alleges that DDG showed up at her home in March, allegedly entered without permission, went to her bedroom, and texted her a photo of her empty bed along with the message: "Now I know what you’ve been on, lol."
She reportedly claimed that DDG returned to her house several days after the aforementioned alleged incident, when she told him that she and the baby were sick and didn’t want Halo to leave home. She alleges he became verbally abusive, smashed her Ring camera, and ran off with her phone.
Bailey also claimed that DDG contacted her earlier this month while she was on vacation in in St. Lucia with her sister, and texted her links to social media posts claiming she was with Brent Faiyaz, which she reportedly denied.
It appears DDG found out during a livestream with Adin Ross on Tuesday that Bailey had reportedly been granted a restraining order against him.
Earlier this year, DDG expressed frustration over custody issues with Bailey, though he had previously indicated interest in reconciling with the actress-singer in the future.
Meanwhile, People is reporting that Bailey has requested sole legal and physical custody of Halo. According to court documents viewed by the outlet, she's also asked the judge to revoke any visitation rights that DGG has with his son.
Per the documents, Bailey is permitting supervised visitations, while asking that not be allowed to take Halo outside of Los Angeles county. Bailey says she tried to set a visitation schedule with DDG but when she did, he became upset.
"I had left my front door open and was not even fully dressed as I was not even wearing shoes," she says in the court documents. "Darryl kept repeating 'Get out of my car, BITCH.'"
Bailey alleges that DDG "was pulling my hair. He then slammed my face on the steering wheel, causing my tooth to get chipped. She said she eventually "stopped fighting back as I was in a lot of pain. I wanted to get out of the car with Halo but was now stuck."
"I realize that there is no placating Darryl," she added. "I cannot allow this abuse any longer. I cannot keep living like this," she says. "I never know when he is going to demand our son to be in his Mother's care and whether I will be subjected to his threats and abuse."
