Ne-Yo continues to double down against anyone criticizing his embrace of polyamory.
Following his divorce in 2022, when his ex-wife Crystal Renay accused Ne-Yo of infidelity, the 45-year-old singer had been spotted out in public with multiple partners and spoken about his perspective on dating.
However, the three-time Grammy winner recently flabbergasted Meek Mill, who shared a backstage video of Ne-Yo kissing three different women on the lips.
“OG said that’s crazyyyyyy! Lol," Mill, 37, wrote.
While not a direct response to the Dreams and Nightmares rapper, Ne-Yo had some general words for his critics with a message shared on Wednesday to his Instagram Story.
“Them: ‘NEYO WE DON’T APPROVE OF YOUR POLY RELATIONSHIP!!’” Ne-Yo captioned a desaturated selfie photo taken at angle. While the snapshot captures some of the singer’s smile in the corner, the photo frames his T-shirt that reads, “Fun fact: I don’t care.”
In an interview uploaded last November on the Lemon Drop with Karleen Roy, Ne-Yo revealed he hadn’t been living in his “truth” for a long time.
“Society tells you that you're supposed to be with one person. You get married and y’all supposed to be together forever,” he said. “I am not shitting on marriage. I'm not shitting on anyone who has figured out how to make that thing work for them. Again, everything's not for everybody. Monogamy is for you. It's not for me.”
