New music from Ice Spice is on the way.
The rapper dropped a new teaser previewing a new single, presumably called “Baddie Baddie,” that samples M.I.A.’s 2012 hit “Bad Girls.”
In the nearly 30-second clip, Ice wears a fitted red leather cropped jacket, ultra-short distressed denim shorts, and light blue strappy high heels as she confidently poses and dances along to her new song.
“They said they wanted a bop, I was just poppin’ my shit / I ain't even really mean to go pop,” she raps in the video. “He was just begging to hit, I don’t be giving you n****s a shot.
“I know he don’t want me for me / I know he just wants what I got / Baddie, baddie, I’m feelin’ nasty,” she adds.
It looks like fans won’t have to wait much longer for new music. Munchkins, the name of her devoted fandom, pointed out online that Ice recently cleared her Instagram profile of all contents, signaling that a new era is upon us.
The 25-year-old Bronx rapper hasn’t released a full album since her debut Y2K last July. A deluxe edition, subtitled I’m Just a Girl, arrived in December, which included the track "Hannah Montana" featuring NLE Choppa and DaBaby.
Ice was also featured on the remix for girl group Katseye’s viral hit, “Gnarly” in June.
