21 Savage says he’s thinking about trying a new hairdo inspired by a West Coast rap legend.

On Tuesday, the rapper hopped on Instagram to share a mirror selfie donning a voluminous blowout along with the caption: “thinking about going throwback snoop on you female dogs.”

21 is referring to the moment Snoop Dogg donned longer hair around the time of his 1996 album, Tha Doggfather. Snoop, who was known for his signature braids back then, would rock the style again several times throughout the years.

The photo of 21’s new ‘do received likes from Drake, Quavo, and Zack Bia. Whether or not the hairstyle is here to stay remains to be seen.

However, the switch-up also recalls recent hair transformations from others in the entertainment industry—such as Drizzy, who traded in his braids for a low-cut, groomed hairstyle last November.

In honor of his role as Bob Dylan in the A Complete Unknown biopic, Timothée Chalamet debuted a set of blonde bangs during the film’s New York premiere in December 2024.

That same month, Lil Yachty debuted a dark Caesar haircut with a fresh line-up ahead of his performance at Rolling Loud Miami 2024 after rocking his signature red braids since the beginning of his career.
