Ohio authorities are searching for a woman who allegedly broke into a man’s home and slashed his scrotum.

According to WTVG, an arrest warrant has been issued for Jeanita Hopings, a 45-year-old Toledo resident who reportedly knew the victim. Local police said the assault occurred late Tuesday night on Boothsbay Drive, where Hopings allegedly "kicked open the front door" of the man’s house. The occupant told police he had heard some commotion while he was upstairs in the home, and immediately went to the main floor without any clothes on. It was at that time when Hopings allegedly used an “unknown instrument” to cut the man’s testicle sack. The laceration was reportedly so deep that the testicles were “clearly exposed.”

The victim was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment; however, details surrounding his condition and recovery have not been revealed.

While WTVG simply described the victim as someone Hopings knew, other outlets like TMZ and People reported that the man was the suspect’s boyfriend.

As of press time, Hopings had not been taken into custody. She is now facing felonious assault and aggravated burglary charges in connection with the October 7 incident.

The Toledo Police Department has since released Hoping’s booking photo from a previous detention.

According to People, Hopings has no other felony charges on her record, but she has been hit with multiple traffic-related misdemeanors.
